the repair story

Nothing here is new, and that is the point

Every second Saturday we comb the thrift markets and bring home pieces with good bones and bad luck. Loose seams, missing buttons, hems that gave up years ago.

Then the slow part starts. We wash everything twice, repair by hand with visible stitching we are proud of, and restyle each piece so it fits the way people actually dress now. A repair is not a flaw. It is the story.

About forty hours of work go into every drop, usually with tea and one very unhelpful cat.
